Indulge your taste buds with their Brunch Plate priced at ₱375.00, which promises to be a hearty start to your day. Alternatively, for a lighter fare, the Roasted Tomato Tartine at ₱185.00 is bursting with flavor, perfect for a quick snack or lunch. Primal Brew thrives on creating a community spirit among guests, as evidenced by reviews from satisfied patrons. Take it from Eric M., who found solace in this cafe, noting, “I stayed for around 3 hours to get some work done,” and enjoyed the refreshing cold tea after a long, hot walk. Meanwhile, Remy Alyssa Tubig passionately remarks on their commitment to supporting local coffee farmers, saying, “Thank you Primal Brew for supporting local coffee farmers!”

However, be mindful that the intimate size of the cafe may feel a bit snug during busier hours, as pointed out by Sarah H., who mentioned the close proximity of tables. But fear not, the lively atmosphere only adds to the communal vibe, especially for those looking to mingle or soak in the buzz of a thriving cafe culture.

But the real magic happens when you pair your meal with one of their signature beverages, such as the Long Black alongside the delightful Salted Choco Caramel Oat Bar for just ₱150.00. This duo promises a blend of rich coffee flavor and sweet indulgence, making for a perfect afternoon treat.

In a city where coffee shops can sometimes feel overwhelming, Primal Brew Coffee + Roastery offers a refreshing, homey alternative that dares to stand out with its quality and warmth. It’s more than just a coffee stop; it’s a sanctuary for those who appreciate the craft of coffee-making and community connection. Tucked away in a quaint street at the far corner of Makati CBD, this spot was recommended by a friend. I dropped by on a Wednesday, just before noon. It was quiet when I arrived, though everyone seemed busy with their own thing. I stayed for around 3 hours to get some work done. I only tried their cold tea and a toast—the tea was refreshing, especially after a long walk on a hot, humid day. The toast was nothing special, but I’m looking forward to coming back to try their specialty coffee brews.

They offer good coffee sourced from local beans! This cafe is just behind our office and it’s such a gem to have this nearby. Love that they explore and offer seasonal customized drinks, like the turon latte in the picture. Thank you Primal Brew for supporting local coffee farmers!

It is a small space down a back alley type of road with tables too close together for my liking; you’re almost shoulder to shoulder with people next to you and feels cramped and esp annoying when patrons are chatting and moving too much because of how small it is. There are sockets at each table and they have wifi for you to use.

Tucked away between rundown residential condominiums and a quiet alley in Legaspi Village lies a humble coffee shop that offers a warm, homey atmosphere—a refreshing contrast to the more intimidating coffee spots around the city. I decided to spend my afternoon here, seeking fresh air and a conducive space to get some work done. Finding a coffee shop that prioritizes the craft of coffee-making over aesthetics has become a rarity. Many establishments focus heavily on their visual appeal, often at the expense of quality. Thankfully, this coffee shop is a delightful exception. Despite its modest size and unpretentious interior, it stands out as one of the most respected coffee roasters in the country. From my firsthand experience, it’s clear they are deeply committed to brewing the finest coffee and roasting top-quality beans. The staff deserve special mention—they are incredibly friendly and accommodating, making the visit even more enjoyable. Despite the small layout, the shop offers plenty of power outlets, making it a practical spot for those looking to work. The limited seating creates a cozy ambiance with moderate noise levels, perfect for focusing on tasks or unwinding after a stroll through Legaspi Park. I’m excited to return and explore more of their offerings. If you’re on the lookout for your next coffee shop adventure, I highly recommend adding this gem to your list. It’s a place where quality coffee takes center stage, proving that simplicity and excellence go hand in hand.

4.5/5 A small, laidback coffee shop in a quiet street in Makati. We liked the simplicity of the cafe, the drinks, and the food. The signature latte was on the stronger side and the hojicha was pretty good but my friend said she would get it with oat milk next time. The sandwiches were good as well—just a basic tuna sandwich and egg sandwich. Tasted like how they should. Nice and chill atmosphere. The cafe is small and could get crowded when there’s a lot of customers. They have wifi and outlets so I’d say it’s work/study-friendly.

Good coffee shop in Makati; not far from Greenbelt. This is a great place if you work remote but don’t want to work from home. The coffee was good. A bit too hot. I like the atmosphere here. Good music, bright, newspapers on the counter. Prices are slightly higher but still totally fine. They also have some pastries and savory food
